Pelton: Powerful turbines for pure hydropower
The Pelton turbine is also known as a free-jet turbine. Due to its mode of action, this water turbine is ideal for hydroelectric power plants with very high heads (over 30 to 1,500 m) with comparatively small amounts of water. The turbines are manufactured in the Geppert factory in Hall in Tyrol using leading engineering skills.
High-tech hydro-power up to 30 MW
The Pelton turbine is designed with internally and externally regulated nozzle assemblies – each consisting of one to six nozzles. Depending on the number of nozzles, one to three-nozzle machines are built in horizontal design, while two to six-nozzle machines are built in vertical. Each individual nozzle is regulated separately – this guarantees optimum efficiency. Geppert offers a special plus for turbines with externally regulated nozzles: The flushing stroke simply removes any obstructions, such as accumulated leaves or other foreign bodies that are in the running water. And while in operation. This means that the machine does not have to be shut down or opened for cleaning.
Water is life – and Geppert lives for water (power)
Geppert Hydropower stands for sustainable and clean energy from hydropower. It is the fascination of zero-emission hydroelectricity, with which the long-established company has been actively involved in maintaining a healthy environment for many decades. Austria is the land of mountains, the land of water. Geppert also offers drinking water turbines in a corresponding drinking water suitable design. Surely you and your descendants would like to enjoy fresh, pure water in the future as well, in the transport of which to the households additional renewable energy is generated … It is in your hands.
