With low pressure for best performance
The turbine, named after the world-famous Austrian inventor Victor Kaplan, is a low-pressure turbine with extremely high efficiency. Because of its mode of action, this water turbine is ideal for power plants with large amounts of water.
Maximum water power In
order for the intake water to reduce its rotational energy in the intake pipe to a minimum, the water flow is optimally correlated with the flow angle of the guide vanes and rotor blades over the entire application range. For individual adaptation to the respective power plant, Geppert offers these systems in different variants: as shaft, pipe, Z or S turbines. In horizontal or vertical design, with three to six wings – depending on how optimal use of hydropower can be guaranteed. A special feature of the Kaplanaggregats is that the submersible generator and the impeller are mounted on a common shaft. As generators permanent magnet or asynchronous generators are used. The advantages are a compact design and the elimination of gear and belt drive by the directly coupled generator.
High Tech – High Quality
Geppert turbines and plants are developed with pride in domestic engineering and manufactured to the highest quality standards. Rooted in the heart of the Austrian mountains.
