Above all, the innovative Diagonal Turbine – also called Dériazturbine. Their extremely high efficiency over a wide range of applications is unique. The double-regulated overpressure turbine for the medium pressure range is ideal for small power plants with drop heights of up to 80 m. The turbine convinces above all thanks to the adjustable blades and vanes. These give the product, which has been successfully and repeatedly used by Geppert since 1999, a high level of efficiency and thus very high partial load efficiencies, comparable to Kaplan turbines.

By using the diagonal turbine, it is possible to avoid cost-intensive variants – such as the use of several Francis turbines – during seasonally fluctuating water volumes. In addition, a higher standard work efficiency is achieved than with a comparable single-regulated Francis turbine. The diagonal turbine has the further considerable advantage that it is insensitive to cavitation. All water turbines and plants are developed, planned, built and carefully tested in the Geppert factory in Hall, Tyrol, using leading engineering skills.
